Can I Use My DAF For That?

The livestream event has now concluded. The replay will be available soon.

Donor-advised funds (DAFs) are often seen as simple tools for straightforward grantmaking, but they can do so much more.

Join us on Tuesday, July 29 at 1 PM ET for a conversation between two experts from National Philanthropic Trust (NPT). They'll walk through real-world examples of how donors are using DAFs for complex gifts, structured grants, and sophisticated philanthropic goals.

You'll also get clarity on what a DAF can and can't be used for, including guidelines on incidental benefits, pledges, international grants, and non-cash contributions.

What You'll Learn

  • What types of grants are DAF-eligible (and what's not)
  • How donors are using DAFs for specialized grant agreements
  • What kinds of complex assets can be contributed to a DAF
  • How NPT supports strategic giving through flexible structures and expert guidance

Who Should Attend

  • Individuals using or considering a DAF
  • Financial advisors helping clients navigate charitable strategies
  • Anyone curious about what's possible with a DAF
